THE BEE THEORY
Albert Einstein once said: “If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination … no more men!” He wasn’t an entomologist, but entomologists around today agree that the sudden and mysterious disappearance of bees from their hives poses serious problems!
This animation is inspired by this problem and tells a story about a surly man who kills bees and therefore nature.
This was my first, longer animation.
With this animation I was nominated for the Mediaprize of the NTR, a dutch broadcaster of the national television.
BERRY BURP
Berry Toonen, an extraordinary man with an extraordinary passion. He has been collecting clocks since his childhood. Wherever you look you'll see clocks.
In his hometown Deurne they call him Berry Burp because of an other extraordinary habit, burping. He does it all the time, wherever he is.
Berry lives alone in a old fashioned farm house full of dust, clutter and cobwebs.
He is a little bit strange but also a very kind, friendly and compassionate person.
MUNDIAL / DE PONT (BUMPERS)
Festival Mundial and museum De Pont in Tilburg entered into a partnership.
For there online video content and streams I've made a few bumpers.
URBAN EXPLORING BERLIN
Berlin is a big city full of abandoned places. The one even more interesting than the others.
We've visited places like Beelitz-Heilstätten, a village full of abandoned hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
Bärenquell Brewery, an old brewery in East-Berlin, old Nazi complexes and also an American Spy tower.
The assignment was to make a video of the five most, insane, fun, coolest, most expensive, or whatever ....................... in Berlin.
